Obituary of Christopher Charles Chapman

Please share a memory of Christopher to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
CHAPMAN - Christopher Charles, was born on July 18, 1989 at the Holy Family Hospital in Prince Albert and passed away suddenly, on Thursday, April 12, 2007, at the tender age of 17, after a long courageous battle. Chris went to Vickers Public School and was currently an honour student at Carlton High School. Chris had many interests which included video games, graphic arts, music, farming with his grandparents, target shooting, fishing and camping, unique knives and samurai swords and golfing. Chris loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was very generous, humble and kind and always put others first. As well as having a great sense of humour, he was also very creative. He was a fighter, had a lot of inner strength and thrived even though he had Fanconi's Anemia his whole life, which was being managed well. Christopher's last year of life was a series of surgical complications unrelated to his Fanconi's, which he even continued to surmount until sadly he could no longer. Chris will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his father Charles; his sister Laura; his brothers Nikolas and Takoda; stepmother Renée Chapman; grandparents Charles and Shirley Woytas and Fred and Pat Chapman; great grandparents Emma (Nanny) Klein and William and Eleanor (Nanna & Poppa) Shuya; his Aunt Christine (Woytas) Thompson and cousins Kurtis, Brandy and Jennifer; Uncle Rod Chapman; Aunt Janice Chapman (Ron Feschuk) and cousins Jaxon and Krista; Aunt Colleen (Chapman) Hambley (Mike) and cousin Celina; Uncle Jeff (Linnea) Chapman; Aunt Vicki Chapman and cousins Justine, Jenna, Nathan and Reagan, as well as numerous great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Christopher was predeceased by his mother Gloria (Woytas) Chapman; his aunt Lucinda Woytas; uncles Kevin and Loran Woytas and Robert Chapman; maternal grandmother Alicia Woytas. Celebration of Life will take place at Gray's Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Tony Thompson officiating. Interment will be held at South Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Drew Gray, Funeral Director.
