BREMNER - Heather passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2007 at the age of 85. She left us to join her husband Leo who passed away just 40 days earlier. Margaret Heather Saunderson was born in England on October 18, 1921 and was an only child. She met the love of her life, Leo, in England during the war and they were married there on June 12, 1943. Heather and Leo were married for over 63 years and had a loving, happy, and fulfilling partnership admired by many. Heather came to Canada to start a new life with Leo during the war years. She spent hours with her children playing games and watching them grow. Heather enjoyed working on the many houses that she and Leo purchased and fixed up to rent or sell over the years. They built a family home in 1958 on the West Hill in Prince Albert and Heather spent months painting and decorating. Leo and Heather and kids enjoyed summers at the shack tent at Waskesiu and in 1968 they built a house at McPhail Cove on Emma Lake. Summers at the lake and winters in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico were an almost 30 year activity for Heather and Leo. Walks on the malecon in Puerto Vallarta with the warm breeze blowing on her face and the fresh ocean smells were a nightly activity to be cherished. Heather touched many lives and was devoted to her husband - as she fondly called him in her later years "my Leo". Heather has gone to be with her husband Leo who passed away on February 28, 2007. Heather will be missed by her daughter Barb (John), and sons Dennis (Cheryl) and Lee (Karen), her grandchildren Trina, Tomas, and Caitilin and great grandchildren Teagan and Heidi. Mom and dad, we wish you both eternal happiness. Heather was also predeceased by her parents Lionel and Ethel (Levy) Saunderson and her father and mother-in-law Fred and Mathilda (Ouellette) Bremner. In lieu of other tributes, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation; Canadian Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer Association of Saskatchewan. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2007, at Gray's Funeral Chapel, 575 28th St W, with Father Clifford Tremblay officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Marianne Turcotte, Funeral Director.
