Obituary of Randy Owen Isbister

Randy Owen Isbister March 23, 1954 ~ April 16, 2020   Randy Owen Isbister passed away on April 16, 2020 at the age of 66 years in Prince Albert, SK from natural causes after long life of accident and mishaps. Randy passed away peacefully with his children and grandson Owen at his side. Randy was born March 23rd, 1954 in Big River, SK to Myron and Dorothy Isbister and was the fifth of six children. He married to Shelley Gunville on July 21, 1979, though they later separated they remained close co-parents to their two young children till Shelley passed in 1994. As a young man Randy was sea cadet and did some travelling with their group. He very much enjoyed this opportunity and later expressed for his children and grandchildren to have the opportunity to see the world like he had and experience everything. Randy later became a commanding officer with the Prince Albert Navy League Cadets until his injuries from work no longer allowed him the luxury and pleasure .... he loved every minute of it. Randy was never one to sit around, he worked hard his whole life but when he finally settled into work at the Molson Brewery in Prince Albert he found comfort and happiness. The work he enjoyed and gave him the ability to provide for his family nicely. When the brewery in Prince Albert closed the company moved him to Regina where he worked till an on work accident forced him to disability. Randy’s memory will be forever cherished by son Trevor Isbister and his children Cole Spencer, Annavey Isbister, Isabell Isbister, and Brooke Isbister, daughter Randi Crystal Isbister-Ballantyne (Benjamin Ballantyne), their children Owen Isbister and Emmitt Isbister, sister Val Isbister , brother’s Hubert Isbister, Brian (Vicki) Isbister, sister’s in law Elaine Isbister and Gail Isbister As well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who he loved to torture and tease making nicknames for them all. Randy was pre-deceased by his wife Shelley Isbister (nee Gunville) , mother Dorothy Olson and father in law Jack Olson, father Myron Isbister, twin brothers Bruce Isbister and Barry Isbister and best friend like a brother Jeff Lucier. As per Randy’s wishes no formal service will be held and the family will plan something later suitable for them. Condolences can be made to the family on www.grays.ca.
