Obituary of Patricia Faye Kisil
Patricia Faye Kisil March 19, 1937 ~ May 1, 2020 Patricia, beloved wife of the late Peter Kisil, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2020 at Mont. St. Joseph Home, Prince Albert, after a brief illness. Pat was born in Prince Albert on March 19, 1937, the only child of parents Norman and Lillian Easterly. After graduating from PACI she entered the Victoria Hospital School of Nursing, receiving her R.N. in 1958, and making life-long friends with her nursing sisterhood. She married Peter Kisil on June 25, 1960, and they built their home on the Kisil family farm at Red Deer Hill, where they spent over 55 years. They became parents to a son, David, on April 3, 1962. Pat took up farm life with enthusiasm. She loved gardening and over time won many ribbons and awards at the PA Exhibition for her vegetables and flowers, especially gladiola. She drove tractor and used her nursing skills to deliver more than a few calves. She and Peter shared strong values of honest living and hard work and their partnership brought much happiness and success. Weekend trips to their Waskesiu cottage were a favorite family activity and in later years Pat and Peter and spent in several winters in Arizona, where they made many new friends. Pat continued her nursing career at the Victoria Hospital on a part time basis and was also active as a community volunteer, serving on the inaugural Board of Directors of Parkland Home Care, the Board of Directors of Kin Enterprises, and with the PA Exhibition Association, The Horticultural Society and the Quilters Guild. She was a longtime member of Wesley United and Red Deer Hill United Churches. Pat was predeceased by her parents, her husband Peter in 2013 and son, David, in 2016. She will be deeply missed and always remember by her cousin, Laura Carment, dear friends John and Marilyn Davies, Bill and Margaret Dowling, Luba and Ed Magis, Marj Skotheim and many others. We are grateful to the staff of Mont Saint Joseph Home for the wonderful care Pat received during her stay there. Thanks also to Level 5 at the Victoria Hospital and Dr. D. Ardell.
