Betty Ann was born to Herbert Harold Shier and Alida Wilhelamina Eyeberson, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan January 12, 1945. Betty will be lovingly remembered by all who had the pleasure to have known her, changing all our lives forever. Betty leaves behind her 5 children, her one and only son, Mack (Debbie) Lussier, and her daughters: Virginia Lussier, Anita (Donald)Pruden, Barbara Lussier and Bonnie (Ken) Lussier, her grandchildren: Betty (Aaron) Lussier, Andrew (Jillian) Lussier, Marlene Lussier, Conrad (Tanya) Lussier, Carl Lussier, Jody (Alisha) Lussier, Dana (Cole) Lussier, Tamara (Bo) Lussier, Tannis Lussier, Devon Lussier, Brandy (Delbert) Lussier and Kenneth Lussier, numerous great-grand children, her loving siblings who too will mourn: Margaret (Gerald) Deschambeault, Garry Shier, Jerold (Yvonne) Shier, Henrey (Shirley) Shier, Fred (Theresa) Shier, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Betty was predeceased by both her parents, Harold and Alida, her brother Harold Shier, and numerous other family members. Betty was a beautiful lady inside and out. She was loved and adored by all for her loving, caring, accepting nature. She was very feisty and very honest she always told it for what it was! This is what made everyone love and respect her so much. Family was everything to Betty, she dedicated her whole existence to her family. She started her own family at the age of 16, who she raised on the farm in Spruce home, which by the age of 35, she became a grandmother and would then help raise all of them on the farm. Many relatives, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, cousins, all sorts of family and even those family members friends and spouses would gather and even live at the farm for periods of time. Everyone was always welcomed with loving open arms. No one would ever be turned away. The farm was always filled with many warm laughs and love from all and all the credit goes to this incredibly special, unforgettable, amazing woman. Betty was the “glue” to the whole family. Many years later Betty would move back into Prince Albert. Where she would eventually establish her last residency and continue making those very same memories, as she had done so on the farm, by now helping raise her great-grandchildren. Multiple family members and friends would continue to now gather at her recent residence. It was not a matter of where, it was a matter of WHO. Betty lived a beautiful, fulfilled life with her family. Towards the end when Bettys health diminished, she ended up needing to be admitted into the hospital for a short period of time where it was unknown if she’d make it home to fulfill her one last wish. All she wished for was to be home where LOVE was with her family when she passed. Above all odds Betty fought so hard and succeeded to get well enough to make it back to us all one last time. We are forever grateful for her courage and strength that granted “US” her one last wish. On behalf of the family, we would like to send a special thanks to all the wonderful people who helped us make her end care as comfortable and peaceful and caring as possible. Forever grateful to the staff at Parkland Ambulance and the Community Paramedics, the Palliative team with Home Care, the Staff in ICU and Level 6 at the Victoria Hospital. There will be a private celebration of Betty’s for family and friends that will be announced privately by family due to these unforeseen times with COVID. Donations in Betty’s memory can be made to a Charity of One’s Choice.Condolences may be sent to the family at Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306) 922-4729.
