Obituary of Gerald Huber

Gerald (Gerry) Huber October 28, 1936 ~ November 19, 2020 Gerry passed away suddenly from a stroke at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert on November 19, 2020, with his loving wife Arlene and good family friend by his side. Gerry will be sadly missed and is survived by his wife Arlene and his two sons and their families: his son, Bob (Micheline) and his grandchildren Matthew (Sarah), and Dominique (Cole), his son Tim (Vera) and his grandchildren Jolene and Breanna. Poppa created many memories and will be loved, cherished, and dearly missed by his family. Gerry is survived by his siblings, John, Philip (Mary), Bill (Joanna), Melvin (Elaine), and Marjorie, as well as his sisters-in-law, Lois, Pat, Arla, Faye, Karen, and his brother-in-law Rudy. Gerry was predeceased by his parents, Rudy and Mary Huber, his sisters Wilma, Marie, Laverna and Frances, his brothers Carl, Ed, Jim, David, Rudy, George, as well as his father and mother in law, George and Betty Bassett. Gerry was a teacher for many years and finished his career at Carlton High School. Throughout the years, whenever he was out and about, he enjoyed meeting old colleagues and former students whom he enjoyed visiting. Gerry was a man of many talents. He enjoyed learning new things like building a log cabin for his family, becoming a realtor, and then starting his company, TeeLine Realty. He was a golf club maker, and he built golf clubs for his family and friends. Gerry had a beautiful voice, and in his early years, he sang in the St. Mark's Choir. He also enjoyed singing during family and friend get-togethers. Gerry was very active and had a love for many sports. Those of which included: track & field, baseball, hockey, curling, fishing, skiing, and golf. He not only loved playing sports, he loved to volunteer his time for various events. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors and loved to go camping with his family every summer. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his brothers, his sons, and many friends. Gerry was a kind and funny man. He was known for his amazing memory and facts about literature. He told many stories and jokes. He had many sayings, but one of his most famous was, "Life is good!". He lived his life to the fullest. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, a funeral will not be held. If so desired, memorial donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. There will be a private celebration of Gerry's life determined at a later date.
