So sorry to hear of Geoff’s passing. Geoff was a mentor to me through the photo club years ago and his guidance and inspiration helped birth a career in photography. He was always so patient, funny and encouraging.

We are all diminished by Geoff's loss. He was a great guy, always smiling, always friendly, and always ready for another cup of coffee.
I worked with Geoff for several years at the Prince Albert Satellite Station, where he was the go-to guy whenever anything needed doing. He could be counted on to find a solution to pretty much any problem, and he had a razor-sharp wit with a penchant for puns and droll humour; when Geoff gave you a smile, it was often one that he'd put on your face with a wry comment.
I also benefited from Geoff's photography expertise, as a student at both of his Arts Centre classes, and as a club member of Northern Image Photographers where his loss will be sorely felt. His expertise and passion will be missed by all who knew him.
Geoff was a really likeable, friendly, intelligent and generous guy whom I will miss. My very sincere condolences to his loved ones.

Unfortunately I never got to know Geoff, though I did attend PACI in Fred's time. But I did know Geoff's photography through the displays at the Herb Bassett Home where my mom was in care. Being an avid photographer myself, on my visits to see Mom, I always looked forward to our little forays down to the cafeteria where I could check out Geoff's latest images along with those of the others in the Northern Images club. I am sure that Geoff must have been as wonderful a mentor as he was a photographer. I only wish I had had the chance to know him. My sincere condolences to you all in your loss.

I worked with Geoff for 21 years at the Prince Albert Satellite Station right up to his passing, and in that time I came to know him well. He spoke often of his family, and I felt like I came to know all of them too.
He was a truly good person, and I am so glad I knew him. I considered him not only a co-worker but a friend as well. We had many deep conversations over the years about life in general. As he had a good sense of humor, we also laughed at the funny and absurd things that occurred.
We will all will miss having Geoff as part of our PASS family, and he is leaving a big hole in our hearts. He was well liked and respected by us all, and knowing the depth of our own grief, I can only imagine how much worse must be the grief of the family.
I know Geoff had strong faith that guided him. I hope he is at peace now and pain free, and he knows how very much he is missed.
My sincere condolences to Kendra, Mat, Geoff’s family and friends on the loss of a truly good man. My thoughts are with you all.
With sympathy,
Norma McQueen

I was saddened to hear of Geoff passing away. Thoughts and prayers are with Kendra, Mat and Geoff's Family, Friends and Co-workers. I worked with Geoff at PASS for many years. Geoff was a hard worker, always willing to help, he was kind, gentle and took awesome pictures of animals and nature (which I will treasure). Thankyou Geoff for the good memories at PASS. You will be missed by many. Freddie

After my first attendance at his Photo Club, Geoff provided the interest and thus the incentive to re-introduce me to the fun of photography. He was the consummate professional in his knowledge - I enjoyed every minute of both photography classes he taught, and of course his presentations at the club. Even in the few years we knew each other, I considered him a good friend. His guiding hand indeed will be missed at the photo club.

I would like to take this opportunity to send my condolences to Geoff's family. And just a brief message to indicate how liked Geoff was. I worked with Geoff for many many years, and the shifts we worked together were always filled with exchanging information on home projects, mechanical work, nature stories, life stories, sports (especially CFL), rolling our eyes or laughing at news stories, and just a general exchange of healthy conversation. Plus he was a great guy and excellent team member to work with all these years. A very skilled person in many aspects of life. I even sold him my Nissan truck years ago and was amazed at how long he maintained that unit for! I will also remember him as a very giving person. He was an all around good man.
Throughout his health challenges, he always persevered and remained positive, which is inspirational to say the least. I will take a lot away from knowing Geoff, and he definitely will not be forgotten.
