Obituary of Shelly Lea Robert-Dye
Shelly Leah (nee Robert) Robert-Dye
June 21, 1959 - July 14, 2021
Shelly left us unexpectedly on July 14, 2021 at the young age of 62. Shelly was the youngest of seven children born to Robert and Ethel Robert of Steep Creek, Saskatchewan. Shelly grew up on the family farm and in Steep Creek where she learned about the rewards of hard work. She attended East Central School in Steep Creek. She was well liked by the young students who she helped cope with long bus rides to and from school. Shelly finished her schooling at Carlton Comprehensive High School after which she took a course in office management.
Shelly was a hard worker and was focused on perfect results. Although she spent time working at the tree nursery and toy warehouse, she spent much of her career working as a bookkeeper at various local businesses with a focus on the agriculture sector. During the last 12 years of her career, she ran her own bookkeeping business providing support for a number of small private businesses.
At home, Shelly lovingly looked after husband Dwayne and two cats, Niko and Brae. She kept the house in order and continually worked to ensure all her ornaments were in the perfect place. She always had flowers out every summer and enjoyed spending time working in the yard.
Shelly had a wonderful sense of humor, an infectious smile and beautiful laugh. She lit up the room whenever she came in. She was always ready to lend a helping hand or a sympathetic ear to those in need. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends
Shelly is survived by her husband Dwayne Dye; siblings: Carol (Stan) Moxness, Leon (Iris) Robert, Starr (Ron) Basset and Terry (David) Forde as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Ethel Robert; sister Albina Hall; and brother Victor Robert.
Private Family Service will be held at a later date. In memory of Shelly, donations may be made to the Charity of One’s Choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, (306) 922-4729.
