Harold Michael Weninger

March 22, 1934 ~ August 12, 2021

Harold Weninger of Prince Albert, SK passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his caregiving family at the age of 87 years.

Harold was born on the farm in Allan, SK to Josephine and Andrew Weninger. When Harold was 7 years old, his mother passed leaving him, older brother Raymond, and their father alone. These times were difficult on the prairie farm and Harold was placed into care at the Valleyview Training Center in Moose Jaw, SK. He moved to Prince Albert and began working at Kin Enterprises. He worked there for 33 years. Harold retired in 2012 to the Sage Program in Prince Albert where he enjoyed the company of his friends, social events, and he happily told stories. He loved sports, bowling on Saturdays, Toronto Blue Jays, and Montreal Canadiens.

Harold is survived by his home family, friends, and caregivers at Kin Enterprises and Sage Program throughout his years.

Harold was predeceased by his parents Josephine (1941) and Andrew (1985); brother Raymond (2007); and Mildred and Ken Howat, his home family for 50 years.

Harold will be laid to rest with his mother Josephine.

Graveside Memorial Service will be held on September 12, 2021 following 11:00 a.m. Mass at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Cemetery, Allan, SK. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, (306) 922-4729.
