Helen Keehborn

October 10, 1924 - April 17, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Helen Keehborn (Roles) on April 17, 2022, at the age of 97 years. Helen passed away peacefully at Mont St. Joseph Home in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

Helen was born October 10, 1924, in Humboldt, Saskatchewan to the late Gregor and Mary Roles. She was the second youngest of the eleven children and the last surviving child.

Helen married the late John Keehborn in October 1946. They went on to have two children Larry and Linda. They farmed in Bruno, Saskatchewan before calling Prince Albert their home in 1953.

Helen was a devoted Catholic, never missing Sunday church. She was an avid gardener, growing the most beautiful flowers. During the warmer months you would find her puttering in her yard until sundown. She volunteered at Mont St. Joseph Home and Nelson Care Home for many years. She bowled in the Seniors Bowling league well into her eighties and enjoyed Sunday breakfasts and shopping with her friends before church. She was an extraordinary grandmother, great grandmother, and great- great grandmother, often babysitting for our little ones over the years.

Helen will be lovingly remembered by her children Larry Keehborn and Linda (Alex) Beck; grandchildren Cindy (Bobby) Beck, Tracy (Sean) McCabe, Ron (Tracy) Keehborn, Marcus Sherburne, Tammy (Guy) Watt, Angela Dumont, and Adam (Darren) Beck; great grandchildren Nicholas, Melissa, Johnathon, Larry, Garret, Reilly, Julia, Kayla, and Jazlyn; as well as four great-great grandchildren.

Helen was predeceased by her parents Gregor and Mary Roles; brothers: Frank, Gregor, Eugene, John, Clemence, Roman, and Raymond; sisters: Mary, Catherine, and Beatrice; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and her best friend Bertha.

The family would like to thank Mont St. Joseph Home for their compassionate care of our loved one, especially in her final days.

In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to Mont St. Joseph Home, 777 28^th Street East, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, S6V 8C2.

There will be no funeral service held as per Helen’s wishes. She will be laid to her final resting place at South Hill Cemetery in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 11:00 am. Anyone is welcome to attend.
