Terry Brian Horachek

1952 - 2023

It is with heavy hearts the family of Terry Brian Horachek announce his passing on August 26, 2023.

Terry was born March 2, 1952 to Ruby (nee Linger) and Tony Horachek.  He grew up on the family farm in the Paddockwood district.  He took his schooling in Paddockwood and Prince Albert Composite High School.  His 3 passions were curling, baseball, and fishing.  He worked at jobs that wouldn’t interfere with his curling on the Costain rink in winter.  He was an avid Blue Jay fan that never missed a game.  In summer he knew every walleye hole in Candle Lake.

Terry is survived by his 5 siblings: Marvin (Dianne) Horachek of Fort Qu’Appelle, SK, Elaine (Jack) Ritchie of Zealandia, SK, Wayne (Chris) Horachek of Vilna, AB, Lonny (Alice) Horachek of Prince Albert, SK, and Rick Horachek of Saskatoon, SK; his 8 nieces and nephews: Tony Horachek of Green Lake, SK, Michael (Donna Marie) Courchaine of Saskatoon, SK, Roxane (Colin) Behm of Calgary, AB, Ben (Lesya) Horachek of Edmonton, AB, Adam (Katelynn) Horachek of Prince Albert, SK, Brycian (Shania) Horachek of Prince Albert, SK, Richele (Jared) Horachek of Drumheller, AB, and Brendan Horachek of Saskatoon, SK; his 7 great nieces and nephew: Ashton and Jace Courchaine, Roe and Raven Horachek, Brynlee and Myer Horachek, and Phoenix Horachek; Aunts Ollie Folstad of Burns Lake, BC, Ann Horachek of Cudworth, SK, and Toni Horachek of Saskatoon, SK.

He was predeceased by his parents Ruby and Tony Horachek; his uncles and aunts Joe and Mary Linger, Tony and Clarice Linger, Jerry and Susie Linger; uncles Van and Joe Horachek; and aunt Ann and Murray Fish.

A Celebration of Terry’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 28^th Street West, Prince Albert, SK.  The family will provide a time for those who would like to share a story or memory of Terry.
